Purpose
Provide support in developing people strategies with actionable plans. Promote new ways of working and agree on appropriate interventions to maximize opportunities, support change, and manage risk. Work collaboratively at all levels to design, develop and implement organizational development solutions that lead to continuous organisational performance improvement, stronger communication and stronger alignment with the mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional, business-focused HR service to Marketing, Sales and Services division;
- Manage the full recruitment process, from talent sourcing to onboarding and retention.
- Ensure that the candidates fit the role and company culture;
- Take ownership of all ER processes within Marketing Service and Sales by ensuring that proper guidance is given to line management and employees.
- Consult with ER department on complicated matters and keep them up to date on all ER developments;
- Work with line management to develop departmental manpower planning;
- Driving HR related cost savings and manage manpower budget as set by executive management;
- Coordinate the performance appraisal processes, job evaluations, development plans, succession planning and compiling training plans for the department;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and best practices; inspiring others’ commitment to create and maintain a safe work environment;
- In partnership with Learning and Development, organize training and development programmes to enhance employee skills;
- Administer benefits and compensation, with accuracy and efficiency;
- In partnership with Transformation, develop three-year employment equity plans and ensure that they are adhered to;
- Manage the EC HR system and ensure that its updated timeously;
- Promote new ways of working and agree on appropriate interventions to maximize opportunities, support change, and manage risk;
- Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the Director HR to develop solutions, programs, and policies;
- Conduct stay-in interviews, recommend retention interventions, implement, and monitor outcome.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field;
- At least 3 -5 years’ experience working as a Manager Human Resources;
- 8 -10-year experience working as HR generalist preferable in Mining/Engineering environment;
- Previous experience working in a highly unionized environment;
- Knowledge and application of labour laws including SEIFSA Main Agreement;
- Computer literate in MS office suit (advanced excel); and
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
